Jeanne Martin of Yucaipa, CA, formerly of Florence, OR, passed away at Redlands Community Hospital on June 9th, 2011, with her family present.

Jeanne was born May 20, 1936, in Los Angeles, CA and resided in Rosemead, where she attended High School. She and Bob were married in 1961, and they resided in Covina, CA until they moved to Yucaipa, CA in 1968. Jeanne worked for the Yucaipa News Mirror. They moved to Morgan Hill, CA in 1977 where they went into business with friends. Later she became the office manager for the Morgan Hill Times newspaper.

She attended Florence Christian Church, and during her lifetime was active with the Women’s Club of Yucaipa, the Morgan Hill Historical Society, the Red Hat Society, Minutes of Gold, various quilt guilds and the Rhododendron Society of Florence, Oregon.

She enjoyed weaving, antique collecting, camping, and fishing. She was very active as room mother in her children’s school classes and PTA and in the Girl and Boy Scouts. Bob & Jeanne were members of the RV Club in Florence, and RV’d full time during their retirement.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter Kim (Johnson) of Yucaipa, CA, son-in-law, Bob, and son, Jeff, of Gilroy, CA. She has three granddaughters, Amanda Johnson, Alison Johnson, Megan Cuy Castellanos and husband Willy, and great-granddaughter, Aurora. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Lane, brother and sister in-laws and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, of nearly 50 years, who passed away on May 27th, 2011, Father, Harold Lane and Mother, Edna Lane.

Jeanne will be remembered as a fun-loving, giving, pleasant soul.

The interment will be held on Friday, June 17th, 2011 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills and the Memorial Service will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands on Friday June 17th, 2011, at 1:00 P.M.
