Jeanne Martin was born in Greensburg, IN, grew up in San Juan Bautista, CA and passed away last Wednesday. She will be greatly missed.

Jeanne began her 45 year career as a bank teller in San Francisco in 1965 and helped open up the Hollister branch of South Valley Bank (now, San Benito Bank) in early 1980’s. Jeanne served mainly as a vault teller at the Hollister location and provided service to countless numbers of community members during her years at the bank.

Jeanne enjoyed sewing and quilting and was known for her infectious smile. She spent a lifetime devoted to her family and will be remembered for often having a grandchild with her wherever she went.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Trinie Martin, daughters, Tina Martin and Kimberly Martin Vera, father, Ernest Alnas, sister, Debbie Alnas, brothers Eddie Bowman, Ernest Alnas and Todd Alnas, grandchildren, Casandra Weitz, Clorinda Vera, David Castro, Isabelle Vera and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Margaret Rathburn and her mother, Ruth Alnas.

Friends are invited to attend memorial services on Thursday, November 11th, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister, followed by graveside services at San Juan Bautista District Cemetery.

All are invited to attend a celebration of Jeanne’s life after the services at the VFW Hall in San Juan Bautista.

Contributions are preferred to the Hollister Relay For Life.
