Former San Benito County resident, Jennie Padilla Ingram, passed away at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno at the age of 71 years after a three month illness.

Jennie was a native of Oxnard, CA and had lived in San Juan Bautista during the 1960’s. A homemaker most of her life, Jennie was the former wife of Frank S. Morales, and the widow of the late Wondo Ingram, who died in 2002.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Corrbie and Zaida Morales of Morgan Hill; and daughter Marii Rose Morales of San Jose, grandson Jonas Morales of Morgan Hill, brothers and sisters Jack Padilla of Merced, Lydia Gutierrez of Bakersfield, Avelina Padilla of Hollister, Cora Alcorta of Fresno, Beatrice Acfalle of Salinas, Rose Padilla and Phillip Padilla of Madera. She was predeceased by brother George Padilla Sr. and sister Velia Vargas. Many nieces and nephew survive.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 30th, beginning at 10:00 am at the chapel of the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm to which friends are invited. Private cremation will be held and interment will be at the family plot at San Juan District Cemetery.
