Our Beloved Jerry passed away peacefully at Watsonville Hospital. He was survived by his wife Dawn Hansen, sister Trudy Fisher, his children Fred (Karen), Roger, Becky (Alfonso Viscarra), Kenda (Dennis), Kim and their mother Anne Spencer.

Stepchildren Wendi and Chris Hansen, Brenda and Leif Hintz. Jerry moved to Hollister in 1961 to work at San Benito/Gavilan College as a basketball coach and chemistry professor, teaching there until his retirement. He enjoyed flying his plane and farmed organic walnuts and grapes, continuing his love of farming throughout his life.
