Joan Emery, age 64, of Atascadero, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at her home with her family at her side. She was born in June of 1943 in Oakland, California and was raised in Salinas and Indian Valley. She has been an Atascadero resident for the past 18 years, coming from Morgan Hill, CA.
Joan had worked as an escrow officer both in Morgan Hill and Atascadero until illness forced her to retire.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Baumgardner; father, Jack (Corrine) Emery of San Miguel;
Sister, Jae (John) Eade of Hollister; Children, Zac Dalton of Morgan Hill, John Dalton of Atascadero, Nanette Ponte of San Ramon, Debbie Adkins of Gilroy, Dave Baumgardner of Morgan Hill, and Steve Baumgardner of Templeton; grandchildren, Kayce Dalton, Trevor Dalton, Nichole Ponte, Jonathon, Tina, Cheyenne, Candice, Mariah, and Bryce Baumgardner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Bonnheim and brother, John A. Emery.
Memorial services will be held at the Chapel of the Roses on Tuesday, October 30th at 11:00 a.M.
Interment will follow at the Paso Robles District Cemetery.
