JoAnne C. Moore

JoAnne C. Moore passed away due to a brief illness at her Morgan Hill home at the age of 60. She was born in Gilroy and lived in Santa Clara County for about 45 years. She was raised on the Sargeant Ranch in San Juan Bautista. She was a member of the Chippewa-Cree Tribe Rocky Boy Indian Reservation in Montana, The United Sons of Badoc and Friends. She graduated from Gilroy High School, was a Certified Nurses’ Assistant and worked in home health for over 140 families in Gilroy and Morgan Hill. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, Mark, who she married in 1985 in Gilroy.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Moore of Morgan Hill and her sisters, Louise Bautista of Gilroy and Dolores Lafromboise of Rocky Boy, MT. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mariano and Beatrice Domrique and her brother and sisters, Joseph Lafromboise, Margaret Montes, Agnes Lopez, Janet Lomosad and Rosemary Lafromboise. She was known as “Auntie JoAnne” to 43 nieces and nephews.

Friends can pay their respects on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home in Hollister. A blessing and eulogy service will be at 7:00 PM at the funeral home chapel that evening.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM at San Juan District Cemetery, Monterey St. at Hwy. 156, San Juan Bautista, CA 95045
