Joe Picchetti passed away Monday evening at the Mabie Southside Skilled Nursing facility in Hollister . He was 80 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine Pratini Picchetti, older brothers, Aldo and Elio Picchetti and his brother-in-law, Hank Tedesco. Joe is survived by his wife, Wanda of Hollister, sister, Irene Tedesco and her three children, Steve, Patty and Ron Tedesco, and his sister-in-law, Tish Picchetti. and her two children John Picchetti and Mary Taylor. He also leaves behind, his cousin , Hector Picchetti , of Monta Vista, and his two children, Nita Albrechit and Mike Picchetti and their families. He lost his cousin Mario Picchetti, over a year ago. Mario’s surviving wife, Jere, resides in Hollister. Her two children are Antone and Debbie. Joe moved to Hollister along with his cousin, Mario, and purchased “The Villa Pace” restaurant in 1950. Joe and Mario were owner/operators and sold the business 15 years later.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the American Heart Association, if you desire.

Private family memorial services are planned at a later date on the Picchetti Ranch in Cupertino. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Crematory in Hollister.
