Joe S. Garcia,(Tito, Joey, Uncle Joe, Whelito and Dad)born in Elephant Butte, NM and raised in Hollister, CA, went to be with the Lord early on December 16th, 2010, after a lengthy illness.

He served his country in the Navy and the communities where he lived as a Police Office in the Hollister Police Department and Monterey County Sheriff’s Department; as well as owning and operating Garcia Bailbonds along with several other businesses.

He moved to Nevada to work in the mines and served as a County Commissioner for Nye County in Tonopah before retiring 27 years ago to dedicate his life to ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Joe’s life is celebrated by Sabra, his wife of 47 years, and his children, Drew Garcia, Durell and Damon Munn and Diza Matheson. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandson, 11 brothers and sisters, several aunts, uncles and cousins, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandieces and great-grandnephews.

He loved and prayed for every one of his family members continuously. He will be dearly missed by each and every person whose life he touched.

Joe loved his family and friends with all of his heart and always wanted to share the Truth and Love of God through his Savior Jesus Christ with everyone he came into contact with. His legacy will be felt for generations to come.

Services will be at Sunnyslope Christian Center in Hollister on 1530 Sunnyslope Road, from 12:00-4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 21st, 2010.
