was 77.

John S. Enos died Sunday, Sept. 14, in Palm Desert, Calif. He was 77.
Enos graduated from Tres Pinos Grammar School and San Benito High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and received the purple heart.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palm Desert. He liked to play cribbage.
He was preceded in death by his sister Marjorie Jean Brandi.
He is survived by his brothers Francis Enos of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Donald Enos of Big Bear; and brother-in-law Lou Brandi of Palm Desert.
Visitation will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 18, at noon. Friends are invited to attend the rosary today at the mortuary at 7 p.m. Family and friends will leave the mortuary chapel Friday, Sept. 19 at 9:30 a.m. to go to Immaculate Conception Church for a mass at 10 a.m.
Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery Veterans Section.
Donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 74140 El Paseo in Palm Desert.
