Jose M. Rodriguez died Sept. 10, 2004 at his Hollister home
following a lengthy illness. He was 72 years old.
Born in San Benito, Texas, he came to Hollister from Harlingen,
Texas over 40 years ago and had owned a bakery there and then
worked many years in this area as business agent for the Teamster’s
Union and was a president of a local union in San Jose. He and his
wife, Noemi, were married in Harlingen in 1950.

He is survived by his wife, Noemi Rodriguez of Hollister; his children and their spouses, Azalia Rodriguez and Lucille Friedland of San Jose, Arazeli Weimer of Hollister, Elsa Rodriguez of Hollister, J.M. Rodriguez of Santa Cruz, Aseneth Rodriguez Quaid and Robert Quaid of San Juan Bautista, Fil Rodriguez of Sunnyvale and Aaron Rodriguez of Hollister; his grandchildren JoJo Guerrero, Jenaya Guerrero, Jordan Rodriguez and Mackenzie Quaid; his brothers and sisters Gilberto Rodriguez of Harlingen, Texas, Minerva Salas of Sterling, Ill., Oscar Rodriguez of Houston, Texas, Arturo Rodriguez of Harlingen and Alicia Rivera of Rock Falls, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents Filiberto and Margarita Rodriguez; and his brother Ernesto Rodriguez.

Friends can pay their respects on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from noon until 9pm at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

A prayer service will be held at 7pm.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at 10am at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

Interment and graveside services will follow the funeral at the IOOF Cemetery.

Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society Relay for Life or Hope Rehabilitation Center c/o Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
