Jose Maria “Chema” Peña February 2, 1935 – March 9, 2014

MISSION, TX – Visitations and rosary were held March 14, 2014, a funeral mass was held March 15, 2014, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mission. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. All funeral arrangements were under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
 Jose Maria “Chema” Peña, 79, passed away peacefully March 9, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
 Mr. Peña was a long-time resident of Hollister before retiring to Texas.
 He is preceded in death by a son, Jose Martin Peña; and his parents, Toribio and Amalia Peña. Mr. Peña is survived by his wife, Minerva C. Peña; four children, Maria Guadalupe (Tomas) Rodriguez of Hollister, Maria Leticia (Thomas) Ogletree of South Padre Island, TX, Susana (Arthur) Haro of Hollister, and Jorge Alberto Peña of McAllen, TX, 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.
