Joseph Frank Judnick died Friday, July 4, in a vehicle accident in Hollister. He was 48.

A Prunedale resident, Judnick lived in Monterey County for 23 years. He was the western region distribution manager with the JM Smucker Company for 23 years. He was an advisory board member for Fed Ex and was extensively involved in the community.

Judnick is survived by his wife Janell Judnick of Prunedale; children Jeana MacLeod of Fort Hood, Texas, and son Jared Judnick of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; mother and stepfather Virginia and Paul Strametz of Hollister; sisters Judy Rider of Hollister and Donna Coates of Mertyle Beach, S.C.; brothers Jeff Strametz of Gilroy and Steve Strametz of Hollister; and extended family.

A memorial service will be held today at 7:30 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Salinas. Arrangements are through the Struve and Laporte Chapel in Salinas.
