Born in Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Juana has been a Gilroy resident since 1964. She passed away March 6th, 2007 in Gilroy at the age of 73, to join her husband Jose F. Quintanar, her daughters Petra H. Cruz and Virginia P. Quintanar and her youngest son, Leonard P. Quintanar. She was the loving mother to Ricardo (Pilar) Quintanar, Helen Salinas, Georgia (Moises) Fuentes and Gloria (Juan) Ojeda and a devoted grandmother to 20 and great-grandmother of 29. She was a dedicated cannery worker for 20 years at Gilroy Foods. She was a hard working women with a strong will to live and celebrate life. She was a born again Christian who cared and loved everyone she knew. We were all blessed to have her as a mother and all who knew her, loved her for who she was . We will always love you and have you in our hearts. We will always carry your memory throughout the years to come. God bless you always, Mom!

Viewing will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 9th, 2007, at Habing Family Funeral Home. An Awakening Service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 P.M., also on Friday at the funeral home. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 10th, 2007, at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
