Judi passed from this life into eternal life with Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on January 7, 2010 at the age of 74.

A loving Christian mother and grandmother she was preceded in death by her blessed husband Richard Cox.

She is survived by her children, Bryan, Joni, Janine and by her grandchildren, George, Kyle, Bryan Bradley, Justin, Taryn, Tyler and Steven.

Judi was born in Chicago, Illinois. She attended college at Southern Ill. University and received her teaching credential at San Jose State. She moved to southern California and finally to Gilroy in 1967. Teaching was one of her passions throughout her life. She taught school at Burnette Elementary school and Gilroy Christian School. She loved to learn and was an avid studier of all forms of literature. She especially enjoyed biblical studies and theology. She knew her Bible and lived by it. She began a bible memory program at her church and taught Bible Study Fellowship.

She was an avid volunteer and was active in her community and church.

Judi had many friends whose company she treasured. She loved travel, bird watching, being in the outdoors, attending the theater, symphony and creating gifts for her family and friends. She loved calligraphy but would rarely write out one that did not include a bible verse.

Family and friends will remember Judi as a warm, loving person who served others her entire life for the glory of God.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Bible Church located at 280 LLagas Rd., Morgan Hill, Ca. on Saturday January 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged and welcome to attend. Donation in memory of Judy Cox can be made to Trinity Bible Church.
