Judy M. Rider died in Hollister. She was born in San Mateo and lived in San Benito Co. since 1965 moving here from Morgan Hill. She married her husband, Don, in 1965 in Morgan Hill. She was involved in many things in Hollister as the director and teacher at The Methodist Church Preschool, served on the board of San Benito High School and Tres Pinos School, Head Pairer for California USA Wrestling, Baler Football Boosters, Baler Wrestling and Razorback Wrestling, Monterey Bay Area Football League, Hollister Little League, a member of the Hollister United Methodist Church, San Benito Co. Volunteer Fire Dept. a 4-H leader and TOPS. She attended Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill and Gavilan College.
She is survived by her husband, Don Rider of Tres Pinos, her children and their spouses, Tim and Gay Rider of Chico, Bill and Solece Rider of Sacramento, Ken and Sandy Rider of Reno, NV, Donny and Joanne Rider of Kerman, her parents, Paul and Ginny Strametz of Hollister, her step children Denise Cameron of New York, Julie Caldwell of Eagle Point, OR and Jeff (Donna) Rider of Hollister, her sister and brothers, Donna Coates of Gatlinburg, TN, Jeff Strametz of Gilroy, Steve Strametz of Hollister and was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Judnick who died in 2003 and is survived by his wife, Janell. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006 at 4:00 PM at Matson Gym at San Benito High School, Monterey Street at Nash Road in Hollister.
Donations are preferred to Methodist Preschool or Razorback Wrestling.
