Julia Anagnoston Thompson was born November 28, 1959 at Stanford hospital to Taki Anagnoston, M.D. and Annette Anagnoston Shields. She graduated from Santa Catalina School in 1977 and the University of San Francisco in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree. Julia worked for 15 years in commercial and investment banking before taking a position as the executive assistant to the Executive Director of the San Francisco branch of the United Way. She left to help operate Trinity Alps Golf Course and Restaurant in Weaverville, CA until it’s sale to local investors.

She was married to Robert F. Thompson, in San Francisco on February 8, 2003.

Prior to her passing, she was a home maker and active in her church, St. Demetrios, in Concord, CA. She was a great neighbor to all and a lover of children and animals.

She leaves behind her husband, Robert F. Thompson, father, Taki Anagnoston, mother, Annette Shields, step-father, Michael Shields, brother Greg Anagnoston, and sister Nicholla Anagnoston, and numerous other relatives, friends, her beloved pets and beautiful gardens.

Memorial services for family will be held at the Shields Ranch on Friday, August 3, 2007.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests, and appreciates, that donations be made to Animal Shelter’s in memory of Julia Thompson
