Julius “Yehudi” Sepulveda passed away at his residence on Saturday ,April 21st ,with his family by his side. “Yehudi”, as he was effectionally called, was a native of Hollister. He attended local schools and San Benito High School. He was a 46 year member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 of Morgan Hill. Yehudi was a heavy equipment operator for Mark Nicholson Construction Company for 38 years. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, riding motorcycles on and off road in his younger years, as well as spending time in the hills hunting here or in northeastern Nevada.
Surviving is his spouse Dorothy “Pat” Sepulveda; his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry & Kelly Sepulveda; his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Mike Henson, all of Hollister, his step-children and their spouses; Alan and Debbie Valenzuela, Burgie and Sherry Valenzuela of San Jose; Manuel Valenzuela of Fresno; and Julia and Abe Torres of Hollister, grandchildren Cody and Cooper Sepulveda and Ella Henson, all of Hollister; and Timothy Mena of San Jose, step-grandchildren; Dianna and spouse John Dariano of Morgan Hill, Dona Valenzuela of San Jose; A. J. Torres of Hollister, and Manuel Valenzuela Jr. of Fresno. Many great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive.
Graveside services were held Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Cemetery for the immediate family. Pastor Carmen Gabriele officiated. A memorial celebration of Yehudi’s life will be held Friday, May 4th, at 3:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church Parish Hall, 7290 Airline Hwy, Tres Pinos, to which friends are invited.
