Hollister native and life-long resident Kay F. Bonito passed
away at her residence Monday June 6 after a lengthy illness. She
was 63 years old.
Hollister native and life-long resident Kay F. Bonito passed away at her residence Monday June 6 after a lengthy illness. She was 63 years old.

Kay was a graduate of San Benito High School and before her illness had worked as a secretary for a medical office in Hollister. She and her husband Frank were married for 45 years.

Kay and Frank traveled extensively during their marriage, visiting Hawaii, Jamaica, the Amazon River in Peru; Costa Rica, Panama, Singapore, Borneo and Brazil.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Mildred Sanders; her daughter Shelly Diane Bonito; and her brother Bob Sanders.

Besides her husband Frank, Kay is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Pat Sanders of Sacramento; and nephews Corey Sanders of Gilroy, Casey Sanders of Sacramento, and Aaron Sanders of Hollister.

As per Kay’s wishes, friends are invited to attend a “quiet time of meditation” at 1pm Friday, June 10 at the chapel of the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home 870 San Benito St.

Private interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association c/o the mortuary chapel.
