There will be a “Celebration of Life” on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. at Morgan Hill Bible Church, 15055 Monterey Rd., Morgan Hill
A lifetime resident of Santa Clara Valley, Keith attended Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill for two years and then transferred to Los Gatos High School to play football. He drove from Coyote to Los Gatos every day because of his love of the game.
He graduated from Los Gatos High, then attended and graduated from Hartnell Junior College. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Morgan Hill.
Fish and Game Club and the Elks Club for 50 years.
Keith was a firefighter for 30 years. He loved the fire service and feltbvery honored to be a part of it. He was a Captain with Santa Clara Central Fire District and San Jose Fire Dept.
Keith was a Real Estate Agent for many years before he retired from San Jose Fire Dept. After retiring he obtained his Broker’s license and opened a property management business in Morgan Hill which he ran for approximately 20 years.
Keith married his sweetheart, Serena Dunson, in 1960. They had three children, all of whom are happily married. He has eight granddaughters and two grandsons ranging in age from 15 to 25 years. Keith is also survived by a sister and two brothers whom live in the area.
Family was very important to Keith and his family is very close-knit. He made many opportunities to spend week-ends with his children and grandchildren and often entire weeks at a time.
Keith embraced life as evidenced by his love of family, hunting and fishing.
He loved to travel (rarely without fishing gear). Keith always had a very positive attitude regarding life, right up until the end when he died of heart disease.
He had an insatiable curiosity about everything and was always interested in learning. He was an amazingly generous man, always willing to give a “hand up” to any that needed it. He was a good friend to many.
