Kenneth Robert Knoll died at the age of 76 on Friday, December 14, 2007 in the family home in Corning, CA. Mr. Knoll was born September 22, 1931 in Battle Mountain, NV. He was a veteran of our country and served as a corpsman in the U. S. Navy, attached to the U. S. Marines during the Korean War. Mr. Knoll was also in law enforcement for thirty years. He was a Deputy Sheriff with Los Angeles County for eleven years. He also served two terms as the constable for San Benito County, and served eleven years as a patrolman with the California Highway Patrol. Kenny married Sandra Jean Knoll on November 15, 1958 in El Monte, CA. Kenny and Sandra have been sharing a loving friendship and marriage until his death on Friday. Kenny was an active member of the Community. During his service with the Highway Patrol, Kenny worked in the Hollister, Gilroy area. During that time, the Knoll family was living in San Juan Bautista. Mr. Knoll served as a volunteer with the San Benito County Fair, and also with the local “4-H” clubs.

Mr. Knoll was a born cowboy and after retirement, he and his wife moved to this area and for eighteen years he was a cattle rancher and helped people in the Corning area. Mr. Knoll was a man who served his state and country, but most of all, loved his family and loved being with them.

Mr. Knoll is survived by his wife, Sandra Jean Knoll of Corning, daughter Lisa Marie Knutson, husband Courtney, of Hollister, son Jim Knoll, wife Susie, of Paicines, daughter Julie Catherine Knoll of Red Bluff, son Brian Knoll of Gilroy, grandsons; Shane Matas of Red Bluff, Joshua Knoll and Jackson Knoll of Paicines, and his great-uncle, Sam Jury, of Visalia.

Memorial services were held Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at the Hall Brothers Corning Mortuary. Officiating the memorial was Pastor Scott W. Menez of The Grace Bible Church in Cottonwood, CA. Burial and graveside services will be Friday, December 21, 2007 at 2:00 P. M. in the San Juan Bta. District Cemetery. Officiating the graveside service will be Pastor Duane Cashion of the Grace Bible Church of Hollister, CA. All arrangements are through the Hall Brother Corning Mortuary in Corning, CA. A lunch and fellowship will be in the V.F.W. Hall after graveside services.
