Corralitos resident
Laura Joyce (Bettencourt) Rossi died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at her home in Corralitos. She was 68.
Mrs. Rossi had lived in Corralitos for 36 years. She was the fifth of eight children of the late Joseph and Laura (Silva) Bettencourt, formerly of Castroville.
She is survived by her children, Sherri Rossi-Rodriguez and her husband, Ricky, of Hollister, Wayne Moore of Tracy, Brenda Stark of Watsonville, Denise Dalton of Sparks, Nev. and Mark Moore and his wife, Barb, of Cabool, Mo.; her brother, Stanley Bettencourt of Rio Linda; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rossi; her sisters, Darlene Williams, Geraldine Duncan, Lucille Howard and Joan Machado; and her brothers, Arnold and John Bettencourt.
Mass will be offered Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Christians Valley Parish, 2401 E. Lake Ave. in Watsonville.
