Laura passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Montoya, her brothers Ray, Cecil, and Lee Aguilar, and her Sisters Cecelia Aguilar and Flora Garcia.
Laura was a precious and beloved mother to her daughter Rosie (Ron) Kinoshita of Gilroy, CA, her Sons Tommy (Cora) Montoya Jr. of Salinas, and Bob (Dolores) Montoya of Connecticut and John (Terry) of San Jose, CA. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Steve (Tracy) Kinoshita, Danny (Patty) Kinoshita, Debbie (Steven) Parra, Jennifer (Steve) Chang, Maria Aldape, Gina (Derek) Diaz, Stephanie Valdez, Laurie (Anthony) Imperial, Thomas (Priscilla) Montoya, Rueben Montoya, Kelli (Todd) Hoskins, Nadine, and Johnny Montoya. Her great- grandchildren Alyse and Michael Kinoshita, Danielle and Mark Kinoshita, D.J., Michelle, Ashley, Melissa, and Morgan Parra, Nick, Kailee, and Chris Chang, Andrew Ventura, Adonis Diaz, Dresden Diaz, Alexis Perez, Giovanni Ramirez, Gianna Marinelli, Alonah Imperial, Lynniah Montoya, Jacob Faith, and Haley.
Laura is also survived by a sister in law, Rose Bayuga of Gilroy, and Brother in law, Johnny Yamamoto of Gilroy. Her Dear Friends Susan Curry of Salinas, and Hazel Fox of San Jose. She leaves behind her loving cat “Shasta”.
Laura farmed strawberries for many years in California and worked in a bos factory during WWII. She was know as a generous and Loving Mother, Grand Mother, and Great Grand Mother. She will be greatly missed.
