Lavern died peacefully Tuesday afternoon at his home in Hollister. He is survived by his wife, Elsie, their children, Richard Browder and his wife, Pat, Linda Browder, Dara Tobias and her husband, Tom, Ken Griffin and their grandchildren, Russell, Brian and Andrew Tobias. He is also survived by his sister, Elsie Fleck and a large extended family.
Respecting Lavern’s wishes the obituary is brief and there will be no services.
The family will appreciate donations to Hospice of the Central Coast or The American Cancer Society in memory of Lavern.
