Hazel Hawkins Hospital at the age of 62.

Hollister resident Lawnee L. Crawford died Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Hazel Hawkins Hospital at the age of 62.

Originally born in Long Beach, Calif., Crawford graduated from Adams State College in Colorado and taught school in Manassa, Colo., Monte Vista, Colo., Grass Valley, Calif., Cortez, Colo., and Hollister.

She was involved in 4-H, Boy Scouts of America, Order of Eastern Star and was a marshall, Rainbow Girls and Shriners Klown Kutie. She attended the Hollister United Methodist Church.

Crawford is survived by husband Ronald Crawford of Hollister; children and their spouses Kelton and Alison Crawford of Morgan Hill and Kristina and Steven Elliot of San Diego; brother Ronald Haywood of Barstow, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Laura Crawford of Morgan Hill and Tiffany and Kimberly Elliot of San Diego.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m. at Hollister United Methodist Church. Rev. Ardyss Golden will officiate. Internment will be in LaVeta Cemetery in Colorado.

Donations are preferred to Shriner’s Hospital, care of Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home, 363 Seventh St.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
