 Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bette Scarper of Gilroy; children Jim, Nancy and Steve; sisters-in- law Mary Jane Green and Deloris Blake; brother-in-law Mike Pino of Salinas; nieces Sister Bobbi Green, Kelly Blake, Tamara Blake, Jeanette Erb, Karen Kruger, and Catherine Lewis; also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews.
 Preceded in death by his parents, Orie and Ellenor Scarper and sister Verne Pino.
