Known as a kind and gentle man, Les Leeper passed away peacefully Feb. 4, with family at his bedside. Born in Dinuba, Les grew up on a diary farm in Visilia, the son of Don and Adela (Mc Swain) Leeper. He graduated from Delano High School and served in the army during WWII. In 1958, he moved to Santa Cruz where he and his wife raised their family. Les is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emma (Courson), their sons Robert Leeper of Oregon, and John Leeper (Cindy) of Twain Harte, daughters Leslie Tapia and Linda Yetter (Ron) both of Hollister, 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Les was preceded in death by his oldest son, Wesley Leeper, and his grandson, Danny Yetter. Les loved his family and enjoyed being outdoors. He had made Hollister his home for the last 17 years. A private family memorial will be held.
