Lester H. “Bud” Gray died Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in Salinas after a brief illness. He was 73.

Mr. Gray was born in Canoga Park, the youngest of 13 children, and lived for many years in the Simi Valley area. He had lived in Hollister for 23 years. He was a truck driver for many years and also managed and was assistant manager of several RV parks. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U.S. Army, a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos, the Hollister VFW Post 9242 and Sons In Retirement, and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Gray of Hollister; his children and their spouses, Daniel and Antionette Gray of Modesto, Ron and Cindy Gray of Lemoore, Kathy and Keith Bryant of Coldwater, Miss., and Sandy and Bryan Wagner, Terri and Bryan Webber and Joanne, all of Michigan; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 13 at 1 p.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella with cremation to be arranged by Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Crematory.

Memorials are preferred to Immaculate Conception Church.
