About 25 wildfires started by lightning burned about 200 acres of vegetation Saturday, according to Calfire officials.

The blazes occurred in the eastern hills of Santa Clara County, north of Henry W. Coe State Park, and between San Jose and Interstate 5.

A dispatcher at Calfire said no homes were threatened, and no injuries were reported.

All of the fires were contained as of Monday morning, with some Calfire equipment and personnel in the area watching for remaining hot spots. The first reports of fire in the area were heard about 3 a.m. Saturday, and the last one sparked up about 3 p.m. the same day.

The largest of the local lightning fires, which was north of Interstate 580 and away from the others, burned about 100 acres of brush, oak woodland and grass.
