Lillie M. Macfarlane died Thursday, Sept. 11, at the William and Inez Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was 104.
She came to Hollister in 1992 to be with her son and his family who lived in Santa Cruz. She was a member of the Hollister United Methodist Church and a graduate of Greeley State Teachers’ College and taught school for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Macfarlane.
She is survived by her son William (Carol) Macfarlane of Hollister; four grandchildren, Mike (Stacey) Macfarlane of Antioch, Calif., Tom (Jill) Macfarlane of Hollister, Joe (Gina) Macfarlane of Hollister, Jim (Karen) Macfarlane of San Jose; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Friends can pay their respects Saturday, Sept. 13, from noon to 8 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at The Hollister United Methodist Church at Fifth and Monterey streets in Hollister. Rev. Ardyss Golden will officiate.
A reception will follow the services at the church social hall.
Interment will be in Laramie Cemetery, Laramie, Wyo.
