Lily Henrietta Casados July 15, 1918 – August 6, 2012

Lily Casados was born in Albert, NM on July 15, 1918, to Lina and Antonio Chavez. She was preceded by her beloved husband Ernest Casados, her brother Raymond Chavez and her son-in-law, Bob Popowski. She is survived by her siblings, Rebecca, Mary Rose and Anthony Chavez and his wife Lourdes, daughter Gloria Popowski, son Don Casados and his wife Kathy and her grandchildren, Maria Carr and husband Kevin, Robert Popowski, Shelley Popowski, Anne Kahn and husband Leo and her eight great-grandchildren: Corey, Amanda, Brianna, Carly, Natalie, Lily, Atty and Eva.
 She was a devout Catholic and active in all the parishes where she lived in New Mexico, California and Florida, and especially so in the Sacred Heart/St Benedict’s parish in Hollister, CA. Lily was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a gracious hostess and wonderful cook, whose lemon meringue pies won awards.
 Lily will be missed by all whose lives she has touched so deeply.
 In lieu of flowers, Lily would have appreciated donations in her name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or School, the Boy Scouts of America, Alzheimer’s research, or the charity of your choice. God Bless You.
 A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Grunnagle Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 13, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
