Lori Rose Devery died July 8, 2004 at the Domincan Hospital after a 10 month battle with cancer.

A native of Los Angeles, she moved to the area as an infant and received her teaching credential from San Jose State University. She began teaching in the Hollister School District after college, and taught third grade at Cerra Vista Elementary School in Hollister.

She is survived by her husband Kevin of Watsonville; son Wyatt of Watsonville; daughters Ashley and Hannah of Watsonville; brothers Rob Dickson of Forest Knolls and Todd Dickson of Bakersfield; sister Julie Dickson of Aptos; parents Maggie Dickson of Aptos and T.R. Dickson of Orleans, Mass; and her nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Valley Cemetery. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
