Louie Trinchero, 82, passed away at his home in San Martin on August 5th, 2012, surrounded by family.

Born on Oct. 28, 1929 on the family ranch in San Martin to Italian immigrants Clementina and Stanislaus Trinchero, he was the youngest of three children.

 He grew up attending school in San Martin and Live Oak High School. Louie worked on the family ranch growing prunes, pears, and walnuts until entering the construction industry in 1946. He worked for the William Radtke Construction Co. for 25 years before entering into his own business that he retired from in 1992. In 1947, Louie joined the California National Guard and served for 8 years.

 As an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed numerous trips with friends throughout the United States. He was a member of the Morgan Hill Fish and Game Club and the Gilroy Elks Lodge for over 50 years. Cooking was a specialty of his and he enjoyed sharing his skills at various charity events.

L ouie recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary with his wife, Carol.

 He is survived by his wife Carol, son Don (Buffy) Trinchero, daughter Janet (Mitch) Chuck, grandchildren Gerad (Erica) Trinchero, Andrea Trinchero, Diana (Brandon) Coursey; Eric, Tyler, and Kristina Chuck; great-grandchildren Dillon, Eden, and Blake Romero, and Gianna Trinchero; nieces Sheri (Tony Moreali) and Pam Bonaccorso, and nephew Gary Bonaccorso.

 He was predeceased by his brother Joe and sister Olga.

 Visitation will start at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Habing Family Funeral Home. Elks services will begin at 11:30 A.M., also on Saturday followed by Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gilroy at 12:00 noon.
