Louis passed away in his sleep on March 1, 2007 at the age of 97 after a very brief illness. He was born in Los Angeles in 1910 to Italian immigrant parents. In 1913, he moved with his parents and brothers, Randolph and John, to an orchard and vineyard on Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill. He was predeceased by Juliette, his wife of 66 years. He is survived by their daughter, Louella.
Louis resided in Morgan Hill until four years ago when he moved to the Atrium Retirement Community in San Jose. He and his brother, John, were business partners most of their adult lives, growing prunes and walnuts in the Morgan Hill area. Louis was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing since boyhood. He was a charter member, (at age sixteen), of the Morgan Hill Fish and Game Club. Last year he was honored as a 75-year member of Morgan Hill Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Morgan Hill Manazanita Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. He enjoyed a full life enriched by many loved ones and life-long friendships.
Private services have been held. Inurnment at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Morgan Hill.
