Lowell E. Erickson died Monday afternoon at the age of 80 in his Hollister home after a lengthly illness.

Born in Crookston, Minn., he lived in Santa Clara for 30 years, moving to Morgan Hill for four years before coming to Hollister eight years ago. He was a retired accountant having worked 26 years for Fairchild Semiconductor and, prior to that, he worked for General Motors as an accountant.

He was the husband of Lorna M. Erickson of Hollister; father of Jody Ruble and husband, Randy, of Hollister; grandfather of Melissa and Madeline Ruble, both of Hollister; brother of Dr. Virgil Erickson, of Morgan Hill and the late, Kensel, Everett and Curtis Erickson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass on Friday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hollister. Burial and graveside services will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home in Hollister. Contributions are preferred to either the American Cancer Society or the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
