Hollister native and life- long resident Lucille C. Sonniksen passed away Thursday at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years.

Lucille was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Bisceglia and Theresa Guerra Bisceglia. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Hollister High. An active member of Sacred Heart Parish; Lucille belonged to the Altar Society, volunteered for the Fishes & Loaves Program and answered incoming calls at the Pastoral Center. She belonged to Ridgemark Golf & Country Club, the Ladies Golf Group; enjoyed cooking, and singing. Lucille is survived by her husband Robert B. “Bob” Sonniksen, her daughters Terri and Robbie Sonniksen both of Salinas, and sister Tina Davlin. She was pre-deceased by sister and brother-in-law Rose and Dell Laveroni.

Visitation will be at the Grunnagle Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., as well as on Wednesday morning from 8:00 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. when family and friends will leave for a Rosary and Mass at Sacred Heart Church 5th & College Sts., Hollister, which begins at 10:00 A.M.
