Lucille Stamm passed away on May 24 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial
Hospital at the age of 91. Lucille had lived in Hollister for the
past year to be near her son and family.
Lucille Stamm passed away on May 24 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. Lucille had lived in Hollister for the past year to be near her son and family. Prior to her stay here in California, she resided in Albuquerque, N.M. for 62 years. She and her late husband John Stamm had celebrated 53 years of marriage before he passed away in May of 1989. Lucille was born Aspasia Koutsianis on August 26, 1913 in Chicago, Ill. She received her education both in the United States and Greece. Besides being a devoted mother, she was a skilled artist and a excellent cook, her family said. Lucille was a avid bowler and loved going to the casinos in her later years.
She is survived by her three children, Rosalia, Demetri, and Constantine; her daughters-in-law, Nahara and Genevieve; grandchildren Mark and his spouse Shadi, Barnaby, Demetra and her spouse John, and Dylan. She also leaves her friends and caregivers at the Clearview Home in Hollister; family and friends in Chicago and Albuquerque.
As per her wishes arrangements have been made for private cremation and inurnment through the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Lucille’s life and a reception at noon on Saturday May 28 at the Ridgemark Golf & County Club Mens Club Room.
