Hollister resident
Luis Urbina died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. He was 65.

Mr. Urbina was born in Monterrey, Mexico and had lived in Hollister for 43 years. He had worked for Tri Valley Growers as a mechanic and served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Teamsters Union and VFW Post 9242.

He is survived by his wife of more than 36 years, Anita Urbina of Hollister; his children and their spouses, Luis and Kristyn Urbina of Hollister and Rocio and Jeff Arnett of Marina; his sisters, Rosa Maria Martinez of Hollister and Marta Diaz of Phoenix, Ariz., and other brothers and sisters in Mexico; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death in 1985 by his son, Ricardo Urbina.

Visitation will be today from noon until 5:30 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited and Mass offered today at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church.

Friends will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. to proceed to Calvary Cemetery for graveside services at 10 a.m.

Memorials are preferred to the American Lung Associaion, in care of Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home, 363 Seventh St., Hollister, CA 95023.
