Lupe Gutierrez died July 6, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. She was born in Mexico and was 82 years old. She had lived in Hollister since 1951 moving here from Texas. She had worked for Tri Valley Foods and Northwest Packing Company for many years and was a member of the Teamster’s Union Local 890. She attended The Apostolic Full Gospel Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Gutierrez who died in 1958 and is survived by her children and their spouses, Jennie and Louis Aldama of Madera, Mollie and Sam Carrasco of San Jose, Lydia and Juan Cabrera of Selma, Emma and Raymond Reynoso of Hollister, Sam and Shirley Gutierrez of San Jose, Pete Gutierrez of Hollister, Rosa Linda and John Rojas of Hollister, Rebecca Gutierrez of Hollister, Esther and Ruben Matuk of Hollister, John and Rindy Najera of Tracy and Madeline and Gilbert Ruvalcaba of Hollister, her sister, Carmen Alvarado of Mexico. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Friends can pay their respects on Monday, July 12, 2004 from noon until 5 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and at The Apostolic Full Gospel Church of Christ from 6 until 9p.m. Prayer services will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Church.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and then proceed to IOOF Cemetery for graveside services.
