The Hollister Police Department is looking for a male adult who is suspected of stealing $200 from an ATM machine in the Quik Stop convenience store at 1300 San Juan Road.
At 6:45 a.m. Sept. 15, a woman attempted to withdraw money from the ATM located inside the store. She was unfamiliar with the ATM and did not see where the money had been dispensed and walked away, according to a statement from police. When she returned to the machine she discovered the money had been dispensed but it was no longer on the dispense tray, according to the statement.
A Hispanic male adult in his early to mid-40s was observed inside the store on surveillance cameras walking up to the ATM. He was seen on video picking up the $200 and placing the cash in his pocket. The man completed a transaction in the store and left, according to police.
The suspect had a mustache and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and a black-and-orange ball cap. He left the area in what appears to be a white Ford Ranger pick-up truck with a toolbox in the bed and ladders on the top of a black rack.
