Manue A. Canez passed away at Stanford Medical Center.
He was born in Glendale, AZ and married his wife, Clara, in 1958 in Hollister and came here in 1952. He loved sports and was especially involved in baseball and teaching his children and grandchildren to have enthusiasm for the sport.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Canez of Hollister, his sons and their wives, Michael and Terri Canez of Hollister, Tim and Michelle Canez of Arizona and Eddie and Julie Canez of Hollister, his sisters, Corine Canez of San Jose and Cruz Warren of San Jose. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Frank Canez, Carmen Almanza, Margarita Borjorquez, Roberto Canez and Jesus Canez and his parents, Miguel and Dolores Canez. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Breyon, Zachary, Danielle, Josh, Austin, Madison, Kinsey and Michael Canez.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
Interment and graveside services will follow the funeral at Calvary Cemetery.
Donations are preferred to the American Heart Association.
