Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in Santa Cruz for Manuel Padilla who passed away at his home in Aptos, CA at the age of 91.

Born in Madera and raised in Gilroy, he served in the US Army during WW II, receiving the Bronze Star Medal for combat fought at The Battle of the Bulge, European Theater.

He is survived by his sons, David and Mario Padilla of Aptos, his three sisters, Frances Lugo, of Gilroy, Ida Velasquez, of Redmond, OR.; and Margaret Gutierrez of Hollister; and his two brothers, Joseph Serrato, and Eliseo Padilla, both of Madera.
