Manuel F Nunes, 84, long-time resident of Morgan Hill and Gilroy, passed away on January 26th, 2010.

Manny was a vibrant soul whose greatest joys in life arose from the simple things like family, dancing to the oldies, a winning hand of cards and sharing the laughter of good friends. A trucker for most of his life, Manny was no stranger to hard work and lived with determination, optimism, and gratitude — living true to his favorite motto, “Never Give Up”.

Manny, a proud Portuguese, was always eager to find an excuse to throw a party and had an uncanny ability to bring people together with his unconditional love and sincere appreciation of those around him.

Proceeded in death by his wife Yula Kay, Manny is survived by his daughter Linda of San Jose, son Scott of Morgan Hill, partner Pat Nunes of Morgan Hill, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, and a brother. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 30th, 2010, at the Johnson Funeral Home, Morgan Hill. The family asks that in lieu of flowers people make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
