Manuel J. Escobar died in Hollister on Saturday, Feb. 14. He was 79.

Fr. Claudio Cabrera officiated at the funeral Mass for Mr. Escobar on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church.

Ed Sweeney officiated at the rosary and Marie Rosati, Gene Gullia and Joan Garcia provided the music at the Mass.

Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery. The pallbearers were Tony Medeiros, Bob and Tim Perreira, Manuel Avila, Amador Lima, Joe Martinez and honorary pallbearer Joe Duarte.

Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
