A Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tres Pinos on Friday, May 14 at 10:30 for Manuel L. Ruiz.
Mr. Ruiz died May 4 in Azusa, Calif. and was born in Hollister in 1934. He was 70.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Delia Ruiz, who passed 11 months ago, and his grandson Benjamin F. Wilson.
He survived by his five children Nina Wilson, Nita Ruiz, Manuel L. Ruiz Jr., Joseph Ruiz and Tina Canova; his 11 grandchildren Berdine Ramos, Brandon Wilson, Nita Marie Wilson, Corie Ruiz, Clarice Acosta, Mallory Ruiz, Sara Ruiz, Vanessa Tinoco, Justine Canova, Nina Conova and Christian Canova; four great-grandchildren Brandon J. Wilson, Ian Acosta, Alyssa Wilson and Aidan Wilson; his siblings Walter Ruiz, Eugene Ruiz and Isabel Gutierrez; mother, Mary Martinez; sister Nina Ahumada; and brother Hector Martinez.
