Manuel M. Romero died at his Hollister home on Saturday due to a
lengthy illness. He was born in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico and
lived in Hollister for 28 years. He married his wife, Evangelina
Romero, in 1976 in Mexico. He worked for several years for Teledyne
McCormich Selph now Pacific Scientific. He was a member of Sacred
Heart Church.

He is survived by his wife, Evangelina Romero of Hollister; his children, Griselda Romero of Morgan Hill, Berenice Romero of Hollister and Lizette Romero of Hollister; his brothers and sisters, Francisco Romero of San Jose, Angelina Romero of Costa Mesa, CA, David Romero Jr of Mexico City, Jesus Romero of Mexico, Alejandro Romero of Mexico and Lola Romero of Mexico. He is also survived by one grandson, Angel Romero.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 12:00 noon at St. Benedict’s Church. Rev. Rudy Ruiz will officiate with music by Lupe Castaneda.

Inurnment will follow the Mass at St. Benedict’s Columbarium.

Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
