Manuel P. Villalobos, 84, passed away at his home in Gilroy, Friday, November 27, 2009. Husband of 46 years to Trinidad Villalobos of Gilroy. Father of Daniel Villalobos (Rosa) of Gilroy, Silvia Brookens (Todd) of Brentwood, CA and Manuel Archibeque of Newman, CA. Grandfather of Christian, Christopher & Ethan Villalobos of Gilroy, Tyler & Madison Brookens of Brentwood, Jacqueline & Quade Archibeque of Newman. Brother of Ofelia Paredes , Willie Villalobos, Stanley Villalobos, Carol Engebretson, Linda Kobashi all of Gilroy, Cipriana Martinez of Salinas, CA, Alice Trinklein of San Jose and the late Robert, Augie and Raymond Villalobos. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A native of Texas. Mr. Villalobos moved to Gilroy as a child, he graduated from Gilroy High School and worked for Gilroy High School, South Valley Junior High and Brownell Middle School for many years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church & Knights of Columbus.
Vigil Tuesday, December 1, 2009 – 7:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy. Visitation at the funeral home, Tuesday 1 -5:30 P.M. Funeral Mass Wednesday, December 2, 2009 – 10:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
