In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Parish, 11 First Street, Gilroy. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 3, 2013, at 9:30 A.M., at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St., in Gilroy. Viewing will start at 8:30 A.M. A reception will follow the service.  Margaret Bellezza passed away peacefully on May 22, 2013, at Pacific Hills Manor.

 Margaret was born October 27, 1911, to Almon and Josephine Butka in Lane, a small community that used to be outside of Sidney, MT. She was the second of eight children.

 Margaret’s family spent some time in Southern California where Margaret attended the Harper – Fairview elementary school and then Julia Lathrop Junior High School in Santa Ana before finishing High School at the St. John’s Academy in North Dakota. She also attended MSU Billings and had her teachers certificate.   

 Margaret taught school in a one room country school in the Lambert area.

 On October 4, 1934, Margaret married Steve Bellezza. They farmed near Lambert. In 1938, their son Donald was born followed by their daughter Eileen in 1941.

 Steve and Margaret moved to California in 1950 and their children finished school in Gilroy. They continued to farm until they built a house in town in 1964 for their retirement where they settled until Steve passed away in 1990.

 Margaret enjoyed gardening, cooking and keeping a nice home, including beautiful flowers in her yard. Margaret was a wonderful seamstress and could create something out of any piece of material.

 She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to always have something to give them.

 Margaret is survived by her grandchildren, Mike, Karen, Ken Bellezza and Granddaughter-In-Law Carol Bellezza along with Suzanne (Termaat) husband Steph Termaat, Steve, Pat, Brian Borg and Son-In-Law Charles Borg. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Isabelle, Colette, and Sophie Termaat.

 She is preceded in death by her parents Almon and Josephine, her husband Steve, two brothers Lloyd and Vernon and five sisters Catherine, Alice, Vera, Eileen and Dorothy. She is also preceded in death by her two children Donald Bellezza and Eileen Borg.
