Margaret “Marge” E. Schuenemann died Monday morning at 79 in Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.

A native of Nirada, Mont., she had lived for 27 years in Capitola and was a former resident of San Benito County. Marge was a member of Women Aglow and part of the Full Gospel Businessman’s group. She was very devoted to her family as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband since 1943, Fred Schuenemann of Capitola; mother of Bonnie Clark and husband, Alan, of Hollister, James Schuenemann and wife, Suzi, of Forest Knolls, Nancy Goldstein, and husband, Neil, of Capitola, and Patricia Schuenemann also of Capitola; sister of Lorraine Heise of Madison, Wis. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sherry, Jessica, Gabriel, Nathaniel, and Andrew; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Max.

Funeral services are set for Wed., Nov. 24, at 11am in the chapel of Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home.

Burial and graveside services will follow at the San Juan District Cemetery in San Juan Bautista. Contributions are preferred to the Dominican Hospital Foundation Cancer Resource Center or the Alzheimer’s Association of Santa Cruz County in care of the funeral home.
