Margie C. Alvarez passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 48 in Hollister. She was born in Hollister and had lived here all her life. She was a graduate of San Benito High School and was a former employee of Wapples Pharmacy. She also did family home care for many years.
She was the mother of Daniel, wife, Janet, and Andrew Echevarria, all of Hollister, daughter of Mariano Alvarez and the late Felicitas Alvarez, grandmother of Alyssa, Daniel Jr., Alexis, Andrew, Damien and Natalie Echevarria, sister of Charlie and Larry Alvarez, Mary Gonzalez, David and Richard Holguin, Annie Dominguez and the late Alice “Leacha” Alvarez. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will Be Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 8 P.M. with the Rosary offered at 7 P.M. in the chapel of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9:30 A.M. and proceed to Sacred Heart Church for a Mass at 10 A.M. Private interment will follow.
Contributions are preferred to Margie’s family to assist in funeral & burial expenses in care of the funeral home.
