Marguerite Johanson Hunt died Thursday, July 17, in Hollister at the age of 98.

Hunt worked at the Ogden, Utah, Defense Department, the North Ogden Canning Company and as a nurse’s aid. She was active in the Church of Latter-day Saints teaching primary and Sunday school and researching family history. She loved to walk, work in the garden and sew.

She was preceded in death by husband James Guy Hunt, son Verle Hunt, daughter-in-law Irene Hunt, grandson Bob Quinn, and six siblings. She is survived by children Reva Pedersen of Hollister and Reed Hunt, Virgil Hunt and Sharon Warner, all of Ogden; sister Blanche Madsen of Rexburg, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
